Meditation: Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the holy is understanding”. “The fear of the Lord” in a practical way is to see and look for a reflection of Jesus in all the people you meet and interact with.
Matthew 5: 7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy. ”The peach/ apricot colour in the painting represents a sympathetic person, touched by the needs of others. The colour is a thankful expression or promise of beauty and wealth, gratitude and appreciation. It shows a person that is dearly beloved and exhumes a sweet and pleasant aroma. The colour is associated with emotional and physical healing, showing that the Lord is healing your emotions. It also represents blessings from the Lord and creates an atmosphere that is conductive to receive blessings from the Lord.
James 3:17, 18 “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure, then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.
In the painting I used the arum lily to represent wisdom, it is like a scepter, to use in life. The flower intertwines with the spiral line in the shell, to represent that on the journey through life wisdom will never leave you, it’s your gift. The spiral line in the shell is a line of growth, the shell also represents the sea or water, and the natural rhythms , and protection.
1Cor 2: 6-8 “We do however speak a message of wisdom among the mature but not the wisdom of this age, or of the rulers of this age who are coming to nothing. No we speak God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However, as it is written – no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.
This is a wonderful promise to hold onto. In the painting the gold shows that Father regards you as very precious. He is your provider, financially, but it speaks also about spiritual riches that have been build up in heaven. The golden colour represents glory, victory and the presence of God that is shining over you. Gold also represents your faith, purity, openness and delightfulness.
Psalm 18: 32 It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.
The shell in the background represents God’s protection and the presence of the glory of God. The colour represents a safe, creative and neutral atmosphere. God gives you a shield of victory, He will sustain you and make a path for you. He hears the cry of your heart and will answer you. He is the Rock on which you stand – trust in him – you will rise spiritually above your circumstances. The bird on the woman’s shoulder represents your relationship with the Holy Spirit, it is so close that you can hear every whisper.
The colour black in the painting represents elegance and sophistication.
